Niantic has announced their big plans for a Summer filled with Pokémon Go celebrations all over the world. Whether you plan to participate in person or from afar, there will be something for PGoers to enjoy over the next 2 sunshine filled months.
Safari Zone – Dortmund, Germany:
June 30th -July 1st , the city of Dortmund, Germany will be swarmed with PGoers in Westfalenpark, one of the largest inner-city parks in Europe. This event will allow attendees to capture Pokémon rarely seen in their region.

Pokemon Go Fest 2018: A Walk in the Park:
The Chicago event is back but in a new location. July 14th – 15th, PGoers will be gather at Lincoln Park to socialize, walk, and enjoy activities exclusive to attendees.
Single Day passes for “A Walk in the Park” will cost $20 each and go on sale Friday, May 11th, on pokemongolive.com.. Special deals for hotel accommodations will also become available that day.
Additional Safari Zones are also in the works for Yokosuka, Japan and throughout Asia. Details for these will be announced later.
Players not planning to attend one of the designated events, will still be able to share in the Pokémon Go celebration through (still to be determined) global challenges and activities.
Besides the Fest and Safari Zones, the very popular Community Day event will continue to occur once a month. The next one will be on May 19th. The following two are scheduled for Saturday, June 16th and Sunday, July 8th.
