Niantic has announced that the Speed Forme of Deoxys has now taken over EX Raid gyms, giving Trainers the opportunity to add yet another configuration of this Mythical monster to their collection.
For those of you planning to take on this newest boss, here’s a few things you’ll need to know.
Unfortunately, the Speed Forme of Deoxys is one of the least useful of all, unless Niantic decides to upgrade his moveset sometime in the future. The upside is that obtaining one with decent stats should be sufficient for most players, which is especially good news for those of us who must travel out of town to participate in an EX Raid.
Deoxys is weak to the following types:
Hardest Moveset to Beat: Thunderbolt
100% IV: 1645 CP
100% WB IV: 2056 CP
Speed Forme Deoxys is boosted in Windy weather.
Gengar with Shadow Ball
Giratina Origin Forme with Shadow Ball
Weavile: Feint Attack/Foul Play
Mewtwo with Shadow Ball
Honchkrow: Snarl/Dark Pulse
Houndoom: Snarl/Foul Play
# of Trainers Needed for a Defeat:
3 Trainers can defeat Speed Forme Deoxys if each player has a team of the above listed counters powered up to Level 35 (8,000 Stardust).
If the above counters are only powered up to Level 30 (5,000 Stardust), then 5-6 players are required.
Best Moveset: Zen Headbutt/Thunderbolt
Speed Forme Deoxys is available in EX Raids now. In order to have a shot at him, you’ll have to successfully defeat a Raid Boss (any level raid) in a designated EX Raid gym and time it just right to garner an invite. Once you have, you’ll be given instructions in-game on when to show up for the raid which will have Speed Forme Deoxys as a boss.
Oh, and don’t forget when you receive your personal EX Raid invite to share the 2nd Raid invite you’ll receive with a fellow “Best” or “Ultra” friend.
