Little Tokyo is a beautiful respite in the middle of Los Angeles full of Japanese culture, delicious aromas, and plushies galore. It’s also home to the Little Tokyo Mall which houses Anime Jungle.
As the name suggests, this is the go to place for all things anime. It’s also a fantastic resource for cosplay, Funko POP, PVC statues, wall art, trading cards, model kits, table top games, Manga, and Tokusatsu movies. In fact, the retailer has so much to offer, they house their inventory in 4 different spaces within the mall.
As impressive as their offerings are in-store, Anime Jungle also offers a wide variety of items on-line. And, as an added bonus, they ship worldwide.
If you live nearby and have items you’d like to get rid of, they have a buyback program just for that. They also have regular card tournaments which they announce on their website & Facebook pages each month.
I can’t express my love of Anime Jungle enough. I’ve found some truly exciting things in the store over the last few years, including rarely seen at retail, Legend of Zelda statues by First 4 Figures and Kotobukiya figures of obscure PS2, RPG characters. Here are just a few of the items we found during our most recent visit in June.
If you’re ever in the Los Angeles area, I encourage you to take a trip to Anime Jungle in the Tokyo District. While you’re there you can enjoy a meal, do some shopping, and experience the beauty and tranquility of Little Tokyo.
