Monster Hunter fans looking forward to the release of Monster Hunter: World this week, have even more to be excited about. Even before the game launches, Capcom has announced some thrilling DLC that will be coming to the game this year.
Horizon Zero Dawn
In collaboration with Guerrilla Games, Capcom will be bringing Horizon Zero Dawn to the world of Monster Hunter. In this upcoming content, hunters will be able to play as Aloy. Also available will be special machine-inspired gear for the red-headed beauty and for your Felyne counterpart.
Although the content will be free to download, it won’t be easily accessible. You’ll have to earn it by completing a specific event quest and collecting certain materials.
Check out Aloy in her new setting in this Trailer on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. (The HZD part starts at 1:34).
Mega Man
Tying into the celebration of Mega Man’s 30th anniversary year, Capcom is including the blue bomber in their latest Monster Hunter game. The heroic character will make an appearance as gear that can be worn by a player’s Palico sidekick. Along with this, gamers will be serenaded by the fantastic music of past Mega Man games. Songs will vary according to weapon choice.
Check out the blue bomber in all his 8-bit glory in this Trailer on IGN.com.
More Monsters!
According to a report from Siliconera.com, Monster Hunter series producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, has promised more monsters are on the way. And, they’ll be coming, free of charge.
The 1st to be released will be the infamous Deviljho, sometime this Spring.
The Horizon Zero Dawn DLC will be a PS4 exclusive. No specifics yet on which consoles will get Mega Man or the new monsters. Hopefully, both will be available to all players.
Monster Hunter: World will be releasing January 26th for XB1 and PS4. A PC version will be coming later in 2018.
