Wednesday evening, Nintendo announced a plethora of titles coming out on the 3DS and Switch over the next few months. They also revealed some thrilling new details about Super Mario Odyssey, special edition systems, new amiibo, and DLC for some of their most popular games.

3DS Titles:
Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon
Release Date: November 17, 2017
– The sequels to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon
– Same Alola region, but with some new areas to explore
– New versions of Solgaleo and Lunala
– Stylish new looks for characters
– New clothing items
– New Pokémon -UB Burst (Ultra Sun) and UB Assembly (Ultra Moon)
– The way you 1st encounter your partner Pokémon will be different than in the original games
Bonus Content:
If you pre-order either game by January 10th, you will receive a special Rockruff that can evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc.
If you purchase and download the digital version before January 10th, you’ll receive 12 quick balls.
Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver will be available digitally on September 22nd. If you purchase either one, you will receive Celebi as a special gift for Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon. You can pre-purchase now.
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions

Project Octopath Traveler (working title)
Release Date: Worldwide release in 2018

It was an exciting Nintendo Direct, with an almost dizzying effect as a long list of new titles were revealed over a 45-minute livestream. Once again, Nintendo has proven that they mean business when it comes to keeping the 3DS alive as well as persuading fans to purchase a Switch.
