If you purchased the Community Day Box this past weekend and aren’t quite sure how to use that Elite Charged TM that came as part of the deal, don’t worry because we’re here to help!
Here’s our top 10 list of Pokémon (& their Legacy moves), any of which, will be well worth the use of that precious item and give an immediate boost of power to your account.
#1: Mewtwo: Shadow Ball
NOTE: If you invest in a 2nd move for Mewtwo and give it Psystrike to go along with Shadow Ball, you have a monster that possesses the #1 Ghost and #1 Pyschic charge moves.
#2: Metagross: Meteor Mash (CD)
NOTE: If you invest in a 2nd move for Metagross and give it Earthquake to go along with Meteor Mash, you have a monster that is a great counter for 5 different types of moves (Fire, Electric, Poison, Rock, Steel) in PvP.
#3: Rhyperior: Rock Wrecker (CD)
#4: Moltres: Sky Attack
#5: Omastar: Rock Slide
#6: Dewgong: Icy Wind
#7: Charizard: Blast Burn (CD)
#8: Blaziken: Blast Burn (CD)
#9: Swampert: Hydro Cannon (CD)
#10: Salamence: Outrage (CD)
Honorable Mention:
Venusaur: Frenzy Plant (CD)
Torterra: Frenzy Plant (CD)
Gengar: Psychic
Dragonite: Draco Meteor
Lapras: Ice Beam
Mew: 5 Possible Combos of Fast/Charge/2nd Charge moves
(Connect to pvpoke.com for exact moves for Mew)
NOTES:
(CD) distinguishes which Pokémon Charge Moves were available during previous Community Day events.
Only use your Elite Charged TM on Community Day moves if the Pokémon has high IV’s and is already (or can be) maxed out. Otherwise, we advise you to obtain these Pokémon / Legacy Charge moves by doing a Lucky Trade with a fellow Trainer who owns an extra, final evolution of the monster from Community Day.
Lastly, Omastar & Dewgong will be even better if the Legacy Charge moves are paired with Legacy Fast moves; Rock Throw (Omastar) & Ice Shard (Dewgong). If you do decide to change the Charge move for either, you may also want to change its Fast move with an Elite Fast TM (which can currently be obtained via GO Battle League S2).
Legacy Moves:
For anyone who might be unfamiliar with the term, Legacy Move, this is a special ability that a Pokémon had access to at one point in the game (i.e. Community Day), which is no longer available or accessible using a normal TM.
Elite Charged TM:
This is a special TM which has the ability to give a Pokémon a unique, Legacy Charge Move, which is not obtainable any other way (except through a Lucky Trade as mentioned above).
We hope this helps you in your decision making!
