New Special Research tasks are on the way according to the latest news from Niantic. As was the case before, players will achieve assignments at their own pace, earning XP and needed items as they inch their way toward a new mythical, Celebi.
During this time, PGoers will see more spawns of Johto region Pokémon in the wild and notice a change in Field Research tasks to match.
To celebrate this occasion, a Celebi t-shirt will be up for grabs for free, in the Style Shop.
Trainers will also have the chance to purchase wearables for their avatars inspired by the DS HeartGold and SoulSilver Pokémon games. The amount of choices each player will have will depend on their medal achievement (bronze, silver, gold) for the Johto region.
Be on the lookout for all new assignments to achieve starting Monday, August 20th.
