March is starting off with a resoundingly loud BOOM as Thundurus, the 2nd of the 3 Forces of Nature, rumbles into Tier 5 raids starting March 2nd.
For those of you daring to take on this new Legendary, here’s what you’ll need to know.
Basics:
– Generation V
– Counterpart to Tornadus & Landorus
– Electric/Flying type
Weak To: Ice & Rock types
Counters:
Rhyperior:
Smack Down/Rock Wrecker
Smack Down/Stone Edge
Terrakion: Smack Down/Rock Slide
Mamoswine: Powder Snow/Avalanche
Tyranitar: Smack Down/Stone Edge
Glaceon: Frost Breath/Avalanche
Rampardos: Smack Down/Rock Slide (only use in big groups)
# of Trainers Needed for a Defeat:
2 Trainers – If your team of counters are each powered up to Level 35 (8,000 Stardust)
3-4 Trainers – If your team of counters are powered up to Level 30 (5,000 Stardust)
NOTE:
If it’s rainy weather, a duo will be tougher. In this situation, you might go with 3 Trainers to be on the safe side.
Perfect IV’s:
100% IV: 1911CP
100% WB IV: 2389CP
Thudurus is boosted in Rainy or Windy weather.
Movesets:
Best Movesets:
Thunder Shock/Thunder Punch (3-bar move)
Thunder Shock/Thunder (Slightly better move)
NOTE:
Not sure it’s worth the expense of doing, but if you want Thundurus to be useful in PvP, you’ll want to have the 3-bar moveset (see above) and add a 2nd charge move of either Crunch or Thunder.
Hardest Moveset to Beat: Astonish/ Brick Break
Good luck!
