Visualnoveler, developer of Anime Studio Simulator and Ascendant Hearts, has begun a Kickstarter campaign for its fantasy action JRPG, Destiny Chronicles.
In the game, players will take on the role of Celeste, a young squire who hopes to prove her worth as a knight by retrieving a stolen artifact.
Of course, the journey won’t be simple as she’ll have to fight monsters and outwit a thief (who may be part of a sinister plot) to complete her task.
To make things more complicated, Celeste will begin to question her mission and what it means to be a knight as she experiences a world away from home.
She won’t be traveling alone though, as she’ll have her companions Valana & Ruby who’ll be great (AI) allies in battle.
Speaking of battling, players will enjoy a fast-paced combat system and a fighting style for Celeste (& her allies) that can be customized to fit any player. Plan battles, unleash special attacks, and devastate your foes. Give your skills and gear an upgrade by “enchanting” them with special relics.
When you need a break from the main storyline, there’ll be plenty of side quests and other activities that will allow for exploration and the forming of deeper relationships with the people around you.
While you adventure, fight, and sightsee, delight in a classic soundtrack composed by Kannnaduki.
The Kickstarter campaign for Destiny Chronicles will be live until October 4th. If all goals are met, the game will release for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, December 2019.
Watch two minutes of gameplay on the developer’s YouTube channel or try it out for yourself through a (10-30 minute) demo on the Destiny Chronicles Kickstarter page. And, if you like what you see, please consider supporting the game.
Visualnoveler’s previous releases, Anime Studio Simulator & Ascendant Hearts, are available for purchase on Steam, each retailing for less than $10.
(UPDATE: This Kickstarter Campaign is over. Unfortunately, the campaign was not a success. However, the developer hopes to make some major changes to the game and try again in the future. More to come).
