We’re only a few months away from the opening of the Super Nintendo World theme park at Universal Studios Japan (in Osaka) and Nintendo is wasting no time getting potential visitors excited about the upcoming attraction.
Although the park still has a ways to go before it’s “wall jump” ready, Nintendo has released a wonderfully fun commercial that makes us want to buy plane tickets and head to Japan for opening day!
According to information from Comcast, the park will include food, merchandise, games, and 2 rides (Yoshi’s Adventures & Super Mario Kart).
Here are some pictures recently released on twitter by the USJ Intelligence agency account, which show what progress has been made on the park area so far.
If you’re not willing to spend the money and time to travel to Japan for the upcoming attraction, don’t be discouraged because additional theme park areas are on the way, including 2 coming to the U.S.
One is planned to be a part of Universal’s Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida (opening in 2023). A second SNW park will open at Universal Studios Hollywood at a yet to be determined date.
The Super Nintendo World theme park at Universal Studios Japan will open this Summer, just in time for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
