The team at Epic Games has decided to go all-in when it comes to supporting competitive play of their game, Fortnite, committing a whopping $100,000,000 to fund cash prizes for upcoming tournaments over the next year.
The developers aren’t quite ready to give details about these upcoming events, but do state that their approach to eSports will be a little different. Their plan is to be “more inclusive and focused on the joy of playing and watching the game.”
The company promises that more information will be coming in the following weeks.
