I’ll admit it. It sometimes gets boring between Pokémon Go events, especially if you’ve been playing a long time. But, just because it’s a little slow, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be out playing. You just need to give yourself something to do. And, if you’re a serious PGoer, it doesn’t get much better than preparing for what’s coming next.
So, what’s coming next? Generation 4. I know. It might be 6 months or more before we see a new generation, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start thinking ahead.
The great news is that when you look at Generation 4, not only will you find some nice, new fighters, but you’ll have an excuse to reacquaint yourself with Generation 1 & 2 Pokémon that you may have left behind long ago.
Ready to get started? Here’s a list of Pokémon that will have an evolve in Generation 4 and my estimates of how much candy will most likely be required for each.

When planning for Generation 4, there are 2 variables that we don’t yet know.
– Will any evolves require a special item? (i.e. King’s Rock)
– Will any of the evolves require Trainers to walk a certain distance with the Pokémon? (i.e. Feebas)
Despite the uncertainties, if you take the time to focus on these specific creatures over the next several weeks, you should have a terrific head start for the next generation of Pokémon.
