After announcing that Mewtwo will make his way into regular, Tier 5 gym raids starting tomorrow, Niantic has now confirmed that a new EX Raid boss is on the way in the form of the Mythical, Hoenn region monster, Deoxys. Alongside the reveal of Deoxys, Niantic has also announced 2 new features that will make life a little easier for Trainers wanting to participate in the invite only event.
1st, players will no longer have to guess as to which gyms will produce an EX Raid invite. Now, with the help of a tag that will show up in-game when looking at the details of a gym, it will be obvious whether or not that particular location qualifies.
2nd, those who receive an invite to an EX Raid can bring a friend along to join them. The only requirement is that both Trainers have achieved at least Ultra friend status in the game.
Deoxys will become available to Trainers with the next round of EX Raid invites.
