On Thursday, the Nintendo Treehouse continued its series which has been taking a look at the different character types found in the upcoming Mario Tennis Aces game. Each member of the Aces line-up has certain strengths and weaknesses, allowing players to strategize their moves and countermoves in varying ways.
The newest post introduces characters who are Speedy and Tricky.
Speedy
Speedy types like Yoshi and Toad are small in stature and quick on their feet. These guys can cover the court at lightning speed, which makes them especially useful when going against someone unfamiliar.
No matter where a shot is aimed, it’s probably not getting past these two, especially when a Zone Speed mechanic enables them to kick it into high gear.
Tricky
Characters such as Rosalina and Boo, make it a little “tricky” for those on the other side of the net to determine just where their hits will strike. This is due to a nice curve action that’s a part of every knock of the tennis ball they make.
The Mario Tennis Aces game will release on the Nintendo Switch on June 22nd, retailing for $59.99. Pre-orders are available on-line at Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart.
