Free Comic Book Day may have been delayed due to current circumstances, but it’s coming back with a vengeance, this time as a summer long event.
Whether you’re a longtime fan, looking to get back into collecting, or are contemplating a leap into the hobby for the first time, you’ll definitely want to take part in this phenomenal 8-week event, which begins tomorrow.
Dates:
July 15th – September 9th
How It Works:
Visit your local comic book store to receive 5-6 free titles per week. (When titles are available may vary per store. Some stores may choose not to participate).
Comic Books:
The event will feature 45 previously announced titles from publishers such as Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing, DC, and Marvel Comics. 10 will be Gold Sponsor titles and 35 will be Silver Sponsor comics.
In an attempt to satisfy a wide variety of audiences, there will be a mix of superhero stories, sci-fi adventures, movie & TV tie-ins, and more. (If you’re a Horizon Zero Dawn fan, be sure to look for the prequel to the upcoming series which will be available as one of the free comics during the event).
You can find a complete list of titles and when each will be available, here.
Funko Marvel Mystery Box
If you’re looking for something besides comic books to add to your personal collection, don’t miss out on the Funko Marvel Mystery Box, created especially for the summer long FCBD event, which should be available now in most comic book stores.
