Sony has spent the last 5 days counting down to their E3 conference on Monday, with announcements of new titles and release dates. One of the most exciting reveals is an intriguing psychological thriller, Twin Mirror.
The game is being developed by Dontnod Entertainment, creators of Life is Strange and Vampyr. Interestingly enough, it’s being published by Bandai Namco, who’s jumping into the world of narrative based games for the first time.
The story driven action game follows the main character, Sam who returns to his West Virginia town of Basswood, to attend the funeral of his best friend. While back home, he deals with former friends and the pain of a serious break-up. His life takes a dark and mysterious turn when he wakes up one morning in his hotel room, with no memory of the previous night and a blood-stained shirt nearby.
By the looks of the trailer, Twin Mirror has a gritty feel, with almost sci-fi type moments where the protagonist appears to waver between a dreamland of forgotten memories and the reality of what’s happening in his life.
Bandai Namco describes the game as “a compelling journey that explores the elements of choice and hypocrisy. ” “Truth, duality, polarity, will all become factors as players dictate their future through personal choices.”

Twin Mirror will be out sometime in 2019 for PS4, XB1, and PC.
