According to an e-mail received by Kotaku, Sony will be ending Vita GameCard production on March 31st of 2019.
Sony has asked those who develop games for the Vita to have product code requests submitted by June 28th and final orders for GameCards placed by February 15th of next year.
Although the company claims that digital production for the system will not yet come to an end, in reality, this is a very big nail in the coffin of this misunderstood and highly underrated handheld.
This is a sad day indeed for those of us who love the Vita, but definitely not unexpected as we knew it was inevitable.
