The Pokémon Company announced 3 exciting titles on Tuesday, one of which, released immediately as a free download on the Nintendo Switch eShop. The game is called Pokémon Quest.
The quirkily cute, action RPG invites players to battle their way through an island in a quest for treasure, along the way having adventures and befriending cubed versions of monsters from the Pokémon Red & Blue games.
The game touts simple tap-based controls and requires a team of 3 Pokémon to clear each stage, in each area. Before moving onto a new map locale, players will have to take down a final boss as a last step.
Recruit new monsters to your team or strengthen the ones you already have by cooking them various dishes.
Reside at a home base that can be decorated to your liking with items that, in some cases, will reward in-game benefits.
Pokémon Quest can be downloaded for free from the Nintendo Switch eShop.
A mobile version will be releasing next month.
