Mobile sensation, The Room, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch console later this month, thanks to a collaboration between developer, Fireproof Games, & publisher, Team 17.
The game, which is described as a “physical puzzler wrapped inside a mystery” is being rebuilt from the ground up in order to fully utilize the touch screen and Joy-Con controller of the Switch platform.
According to a developer interview with Nintendo Everything, the Switch version of The Room will contain DLC from the original game. Tentative plans are also in the works for the game’s 3 successful sequels to make the transition to the Switch if all goes well with this initial release.
The Room will launch on the Nintendo eShop on October 18th at a retail of $9.99.
You can see the teaser trailer for the game’s Switch announcement on the developer’s YT channel.
The Room is currently purchasable for iOS & Android devices as well as for PC. Its successors, The Room 2, The Room 3, and The Room: Old Sins are available on the Apple & Google Play stores.
