Even if you awoke this morning with a case of the Monday Blues, you probably couldn’t help but smile at the trailer reveal for the upcoming Crash Bandicoot game during today’s Geoff Keighley Summer Game Fest.
The newest addition to the series (which will be the 1st brand new game in 10 years) will go back to the classic look/feel of the Naughty Dog created trilogy. In fact, Paul Yan, studio co-head of the development team, Toys for Bob, explained this title will actually begin where the original 3 left off.
In the game, players will have a choice of taking on the role of Crash or Coco at anytime. There will also be opportunities to play other personalities (i.e. Dr. Neo Cortex), each of which, will have differing strategies/moves.
As part of the storyline, players will be tasked to hunt down 4 Quantum masks which will allow the wearer to do things such as slow down time (Time Mask) and flip gravity (Gravity Mask). (The 2 other masks haven’t yet been revealed).
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2nd.
You can watch the exciting trailer/reveal on the Summer Game Fest YT channel.
And, if you’re looking to add the game to your collection, it’s now available for pre-order, digitally, on the PlayStation & Microsoft stores and physically on Amazon.
