The Mega Man inspired, co-op game, 20XX, will be releasing for the PS4 & Switch on July 10th and Xbox One on July 11th, per the latest communications from developers Batterystaple Games and Fire Hose Games.
The game which originally released on the PC, has received fantastic reviews from players.
The developers describe 20XX as a “roguelike action platformer that you can play with a friend.” “Jump and shoot your way through ever-changing levels, collect awesome new powers, and battle mighty bosses in the name of saving the human race.”
The making of the game started in July of 2013, when Chris King, founder of Batterystaple Games, had the idea to do a modern, procedural, co-op take on the Mega Man X series. After running a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014, Mr. King started a collaboration with Fire Hose Games and launched 20XX on Steam Early Access. Five years after its conception, the game is finally hitting consoles.
You can watch a trailer and get a little more information about 20XX on the Batterystaple Games website.
20XX can be downloaded for $14.99 on Steam.
