Monday, Capcom revealed several details, including pricing, amiibo compatibility, special features and a release date, for their upcoming Mega Man Legacy Collection 1+2, which was originally announced back in December. The 2-in-1 will be releasing in retail stores, on the Nintendo Switch, May 22nd. The Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 will include games 1-6 from the NES. Mega Man Collection 2 will include games 7-10.
New Features
Save Point – Save your progress almost anywhere in the game
Rewind Function – Rewind tricky areas where you had a misstep and try that part all over again
Challenge Mode – Play stages that’ve been remixed and compete in on-line leaderboards
Sound Mode – Listen to songs from the game anytime/anywhere
Museum Mode – Browse galleries of historical information – concept sketches, original box art, etc.
Smoother graphics & Music
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will include all previously released DLC for Mega Man 9 & 10
Amiibo Support
Use the regular or gold Mega Man amiibo to:
– Unlock 11 fan-made challenges previously exclusive to the Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 on the 3DS
– Unlock new, challenging trials in Mega Man Legacy Collection 2
The retail bundle of both collections in one, will sale for $39.99. In this, customers will receive a physical copy of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and a digital code for Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. For a limited time, this will also include a 30th Anniversary cleaning cloth.
Fans will be able to purchase the collections separately, in digital format, if they wish.
