With only 5 weeks to go until the release of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, Capcom & Nintendo are attempting to give potential buyers one more reason to want to own the game. On Thursday, the duo announced that a crossover event with the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is in the works for the title’s future.
The mash-up will allow hunters to earn Link’s Champion Tunic, obtain a Korok outfit for their Palico, and acquire special weaponry. You can watch the announcement trailer on Nintendo’s YouTube channel.
No details yet on exactly what will have to be done or level achieved in order to take part in the event. However, if the video is any indication, it looks some big guys such as the Barroth and Rathian will be involved.
We also don’t know if the event will happen immediately after the game’s release or sometime much later. Either way, we’ll definitely be looking forward to it.
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will release on August 28th in the US & Europe, exclusively on the Switch. It is currently up for pre-order on Amazon, GameStop, Target, and Best Buy, retailing for $59.99.
