It was announced on Monday that the extremely popular & award winning, multiplayer, on-line, battle royale game, PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) can now be played on iOS & Android devices in the U.S.
Just like with the PC and XB1 versions, 100 players will parachute onto a remote island, with an ever shrinking safe-zone, where they will do whatever’s necessary to be the last man standing.
According to the Google Play listing, the game promises high quality graphics and audio, realistic weapons, stylish vehicles, anti-cheat mechanisms to ensure a fair play environment, and the ability to invite/ team-up with friends.
The game is available for free download on Google Play and the App store. For iOS users, the game will require iOS 9.0 or later and can be played on an iPhone 5 or better. Android users will need a device compatible with 5.1.1 or above and have at least 2 GB RAM.
Going by reviews on the Google Play store so far, PUBG appears to be a hit, scoring 4.7/5 on gameplay and 4.6/5 for graphics and controls. iOS users seem to like it as well, giving the game an overall 4.5/5.
The mobile game will be rolling out to other regions in the future. No word yet on when that will occur.
