Although players aren’t able to go hands-on with new games this year at the usual in-person conventions such as Gamescom & E3, those who own an Xbox One, will still have an opportunity to try out several upcoming titles through a virtual event being sponsored by Microsoft, later this month.
The special event will feature demos of over 60 upcoming titles for a 7-day stint. Each will be available during this time to download and enjoy from the Xbox One dashboard.
The one thing to keep in mind is that, unlike most XB1 demos, these will be for games which are still far away from their date of release. This means that many may look a bit unpolished/unfinished.
The great news is that players will be seeing the games early enough in their evolution that they’ll be able to give their opinions to developers (via their social media sites) and possibly help influence how the final game will look & play.
For those of you planning to participate, here’s a list of the demo titles revealed so far.
- Haven
- Cris Tales
- Destroy All Humans!
- Hellpoint
- SkateBIRD
- The Vale: Shadow of the Crown
- Raji: An Ancient Epic
- Welcome to Elk
The Xbox One “Demo Event” will run from July 21st through July 27th.
