In February, Natsume announced that the Harvest Moon: Light of Hope game, which is currently available on Steam, would be coming to the PS4 & Switch consoles later this year. At the time, the company described the upcoming console version as “special,” proclaiming it would include new features and bonuses not found on the PC.
Today, Natsume, with the help of Rising Star Games, finally disclosed what some of this new content will look like. Here’s a quick look at what was revealed.
Soleil
A Gem Sprite named, “Soleil” whose origin is “shrouded in mystery” will be a new character in the game. And, judging by the 2 different versions shown, it appears players will be able to choose for Soleil to be a boy or a girl.
Once Soleil is full-grown, he/she will become marriage material. The character will also help players collect resources, tend to livestock, and harvest crops.
Other Features
Besides a new character, HMLOH will also be getting a new co-op mode, where players can team up with a friend or family member. One person will play as the main character and the other will take the role of Soleil.
4 DLCs are also being planned for after the game’s release. These will be available to purchase separately or all together through a Season Pass.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is scheduled to release digitally and physically on May29th.
The game is currently available for pre-order at GameStop, with a limited-edition cow plush. You can pre-purchase a collector edition from the NIS America website. A collectible strategy guide is also being released by Prima Games.
Rising Star Games, who’s publishing the game for regions outside of North America, has created a special edition of the game, which will be sold at retail in Europe.
